How are we all, you good??
It feels like I haven't been on here for quite a while, sorry for that! Well I don't know if you've seen lately but Boots have had this offer of 3 for 2 for a couple of weeks now, and you know what that means? SHOPPING!!!
But, obviously, there are quite a lot of items that I want from Boots, but as money is quite short at the moment, I've had to be careful on what I'm spending my money on, so it's very very difficult to chose just 3 items per week that I want, because sometimes I'll just want a new lipstick and ending up seeing 4 lipsticks, 2 mascaras, a new foundation and some brushes. I can't win!!
So, for the past 3 weeks, I've been writing down a list of what I need to get, rather than what I want, but this doesn't stop the temptation and today is Saturday and that means 'Shopping Saturday'. So, here's what I bought:
First of all, I'd been a stupid numb nuts and bought a pair of heeled boots that I've had for quite a while and thought that I really need to start wearing heels more, not only for future events, but also to give me a bit more height, as I'm only 5 foot :( Anyway, these heeled boots are 3 inches tall and are from New Look and as they look quite casual, paired them with a jumper with a shirt underneath and dark blue jeans.
3 hours into shopping, the balls of my feet started to burn, it felt like my feet were on fire, so I decided to go to the ever famous Primani (Primark) to find some comfortable shoes that I could wear in future, not just for today, and spotted these cute, little black boots that were reduced from £15 to £10 and had only got my size left. So I did it. I bought them. Guilty. As soon as I left the shop, I changed shoes, and GOD DID IT FEEL GOOD!!! Then we ventured off to Boots. (cue dramatic music)
3 for 2 deals are the absolute worst. As soon as you know that you want to go to Boots, you try and plan what you're going to get so you don't overspend, and what eventually happens after 1-2 hours of browsing, you basically bought the whole bloody shop! But no, not this time. You see, I've been quite restrictive in what I was buying as I new I really wanted a new Revlon lipstick as I already have the 'Cherries in the Snow' one and I automatically new I wanted more. But, because they put the lipsticks at the bottom of the Revlon section, and my feet were still sore at this point, I found it hard to swatch the lipsticks and chose, so chose a random lipstick and bought it, but luckily I really like it, but don't do it in future as it might not suit your skin colour or hair colour, as I've learnt before!
So, I ended up buying the 'Lovers Coral' Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick:
And one of the main things I like about this lipstick is that it looks like I'm not wearing any lipstick, but gives my lips a slight peachy tone to them which I really like, especially if your going for a proper smokey eye. The next product, which is inspired by one of Tanya Burr's videos when she said that she bought this product because it was one of her first make-up purchases and I thought the colour was so gorgeous that I had to buy it to see what I could do with it and I got this free in the 3 for 2 as it was the cheapest one and it was the Rimmel London Exaggerate Automatic Waterproof Eyeliner in 'Emerald Sparkle':
Now, this picture really doesn't do it justice but it's kind of like an teal/emerald colour with silver glitter bits in and looks very sci-fi, go and have a look at her videos to see her opinion on it!! One of the other things I like about it is that it has a little domed sponge on the end so you can blend in your eye-liner if you want to wear it as part of some sort of smokey eye. But, on the other hand, I don't like the fact that it isn't one of those eye-liners that you can sharpen, so when it runs out, you have to go and buy another one :( The next item and last item I bought from Boots was the Sally Hansen nail polish 'Pennies for Heaven':
This is a really sophisticated copper colour with hints of gold in, which is one of the reasons why I bought it and is actually my first ever Sally Hansen nail polish because I thought they were really expensive like O.P.I so only asked for them for birthdays and Christmas (but never got any :( ) but when I went to Boots today, it was £6.99 which is cheaper than Essie nail polishes, which I'm obsessing over at the moment, so in future, if I like this brand, I think I might have to purchase some more ;)
Well, that was all I had bought today. I hope you had a positive day and have enjoyed hearing all about my day. Oh, also, before I forget, has anyone got any advice on walking for long periods of time in heels without looking like a new-born giraffe??
As well as make-up, last weekend we went to go and see my sister up in Derby and did some minor shopping (I didn't buy anything, hence why I haven't included it in this post) and my dad bought for me Sweeney Todd, An American Werewolf in London and The Shining, so soon I'll have a horror movie night and will tell you what I think of the films because I've never watched them before :)
