Damn you Boots!!

Hey Guys!!!!

How are we all, you good??
It feels like I haven't been on here for quite a while, sorry for that! Well I don't know if you've seen lately but Boots have had this offer of 3 for 2 for a couple of weeks now, and you know what that means? SHOPPING!!!

But, obviously, there are quite a lot of items that I want from Boots, but as money is quite short at the moment, I've had to be careful on what I'm spending my money on, so it's very very difficult to chose just 3 items per week that I want, because sometimes I'll just want a new lipstick and ending up seeing 4 lipsticks, 2 mascaras, a new foundation and some brushes. I can't win!!

So, for the past 3 weeks, I've been writing down a list of what I need to get, rather than what I want, but this doesn't stop the temptation and today is Saturday and that means 'Shopping Saturday'. So, here's what I bought:

First of all, I'd been a stupid numb nuts and bought a pair of heeled boots that I've had for quite a while and thought that I really need to start wearing heels more, not only for future events, but also to give me a bit more height, as I'm only 5 foot :( Anyway, these heeled boots are 3 inches tall and are from New Look and as they look quite casual, paired them with a jumper with a shirt underneath and dark blue jeans.
3 hours into shopping, the balls of my feet started to burn, it felt like my feet were on fire, so I decided to go to the ever famous Primani (Primark) to find some comfortable shoes that I could wear in future, not just for today, and spotted these cute, little black boots that were reduced from £15 to £10 and had only got my size left. So I did it. I bought them. Guilty. As soon as I left the shop, I changed shoes, and GOD DID IT FEEL GOOD!!! Then we ventured off to Boots. (cue dramatic music)

3 for 2 deals are the absolute worst. As soon as you know that you want to go to Boots, you try and plan what you're going to get so you don't overspend, and what eventually happens after 1-2 hours of browsing, you basically bought the whole bloody shop! But no, not this time. You see, I've been quite restrictive in what I was buying as I new I really wanted a new Revlon lipstick as I already have the 'Cherries in the Snow' one and I automatically new I wanted more. But, because they put the lipsticks at the bottom of the Revlon section, and my feet were still sore at this point, I found it hard to swatch the lipsticks and chose, so chose a random lipstick and bought it, but luckily I really like it, but don't do it in future as it might not suit your skin colour or hair colour, as I've learnt before!

So, I ended up buying the 'Lovers Coral' Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick:

And one of the main things I like about this lipstick is that it looks like I'm not wearing any lipstick, but gives my lips a slight peachy tone to them which I really like, especially if your going for a proper smokey eye. The next product, which is inspired by one of Tanya Burr's videos when she said that she bought this product because it was one of her first make-up purchases and I thought the colour was so gorgeous that I had to buy it to see what I could do with it and I got this free in the 3 for 2 as it was the cheapest one and it was the Rimmel London Exaggerate Automatic Waterproof Eyeliner in 'Emerald Sparkle':

Now, this picture really doesn't do it justice but it's kind of like an teal/emerald colour with silver glitter bits in and looks very sci-fi, go and have a look at her videos to see her opinion on it!! One of the other things I like about it is that it has a little domed sponge on the end so you can blend in your eye-liner if you want to wear it as part of some sort of smokey eye. But, on the other hand, I don't like the fact that it isn't one of those eye-liners that you can sharpen, so when it runs out, you have to go and buy another one :( The next item and last item I bought from Boots was the Sally Hansen nail polish 'Pennies for Heaven':

This is a really sophisticated copper colour with hints of gold in, which is one of the reasons why I bought it and is actually my first ever Sally Hansen nail polish because I thought they were really expensive like O.P.I so only asked for them for birthdays and Christmas (but never got any :( ) but when I went to Boots today, it was £6.99 which is cheaper than Essie nail polishes, which I'm obsessing over at the moment, so in future, if I like this brand, I think I might have to purchase some more ;)

Well, that was all I had bought today. I hope you had a positive day and have enjoyed hearing all about my day. Oh, also, before I forget, has anyone got any advice on walking for long periods of time in heels without looking like a new-born giraffe??

As well as make-up, last weekend we went to go and see my sister up in Derby and did some minor shopping (I didn't buy anything, hence why I haven't included it in this post) and my dad bought for me Sweeney Todd, An American Werewolf in London and The Shining, so soon I'll have a horror movie night and will tell you what I think of the films because I've never watched them before :)

Mascara Mayhem!!

Hey Guys!!!!!

How are we all, you good??
Well I've had a little bit of trouble with mascaras lately and I don't know whether it was to do with the crap weather we've been having lately, or just that I needed a new mascara.

Over the past couple of months, I've been using Maybelline Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara, which is one of my all time favourites. From the amount that's on the wand, to the shape, it really made my eyes pop and made them look amazing.

But, as I follow the beauty guide of changing your mascara every 2-3 months, I wanted to make a change, but know that I could go back to this affordable mascara. So, what did I chose??

After reading through endless magazines to see if there were any new mascaras available, I noticed that Rimmel have a new mascara out and noticing the thickness and flick of Kate Moss' eyelashes drew me in, so I had to buy it!! Rimmel Scandaleyes Rockin Curves Mascara.

After 2-3 weeks wear, I'd finally made my mind up, I didn't like it. The packaging came away from the mascara very easily and when opening the mascara, it slid right out, and I know that some people like that, but I want to get the excess off, so would like it to be more tight and more of a struggle to get out, but when I did get the wand out, I was only disappointed even more. The mascara was very clumpy and although some people might say that you've got to wear the wand in, but I've been using this for nearly a month and the consistency hasn't changed at all.

One of the main factors of me buying this product was the same was very similar to my Maybelline Cat Eyes one, but thicker, but I found that the shape of this mascara didn't help shape my eyelashes what so ever. And the most annoying thing about this mascara is that when you take the wand out of the mascara, you get, what I call, the mascara point. The mascara point is when you take the wand from the mascara and at the end of the brush, you get some excess mascara which points and the majority of the time you get it on your face. AAARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!

But, although I did find so many things wrong with this product and wouldn't be re-purchasing it, I liked that when closing the product it clicked to ensure that it didn't spill everywhere. So, after using all my Maybelline and not wanting to use my Rimmel Scandaleyes, I desperately needed a mascara that was cheap and would last me until the weekend and then I found this beauty <3

Behold, the Collection Does it All Mascara. This is a god send. Not only is it cheap (£4.99 from Boots) but also it does what it actually says, it does it all. It lengthens, curls, volumes, conditions and last for ever!! Although the brush isn't curved, it's tight to get out, which gets rids of the excess, and has little bristles which get right to the bottom of the eyelashes, making them look longer. But, when it comes to everything, there's got to be good points and bad points, and the only bad thing about this product is the colours are the same as my school, unless you get the waterproof one, but I can see past this.

I hope you like my little story of mascara mayhem and I would love to hear what you think of the new Rimmel Scandaleyes mascara, but either commenting below, or letting me know on:

25th January 2014

Hey Guys!!!!

How are we all, you good??
Well, today I went to the Westfields in Derby, mainly due to the fact that my sister goes to Uni there and we always go shopping in Birmingham so we thought we'd have a change. But the day didn't start off too good.

When we got about 20 minutes into the journey, I realised that I'd left my purse in another one of my bags, so I hadn't got any money but had created a list of all the things I was planning on buying. But, because I have such amazing  family, both my brother and dad offered to buy me the things I needed and then I would pay them back. So the adventure began!!

I really have been loving the Vineyard Peach body butter and wanted to see if there was any other products of the peach variety, but couldn't find any so that's when I came across a new deluxe addition;Chocomania Body Butter, but didn't want to buy the body butter because I've now got 3 on the go, so opted for the shower cream instead. The smell of this shower cream is absolutely incredible!! It's rich and shimmery, yet glides on the skin so easily. Perfection! But I just couldn't buy 1 product and it was buy 1 get 1 half price, so I bought the Brazil nut body scrub, which smells sweet and kind of reminds me of angel delight, so I thought I'd give it a wizz!!

We then did some more shopping but for my dad and brother and had some Greek food at the food court, which brings back memories of holiday and then headed over to Boots. Now, although I'd written a list of things that I wanted to get, I thought I'd restrict myself until next time so only got the Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquer in the colour Big Bang. Now I already have the colour Celestial which is a light pink colour, but I thought I'd had a dramatically different colour and Big Bang is a nice bright brick-red, which goes amazing ontop of my Rimmel London Kate lasting finish lipstick in the shade 001.

As well as these, I caught a glimpse into Starbucks and saw that they now do Chai Tea Latte, which I've become so obsessed with Chai tea ever since I came back from New York, but the queue was far to big just for a drink, so the next time I go to Walsall, I'll go get one!!

Okie dokie, so I hope you enjoyed reading my blog and don't forget to follow/add me to know when my next blog is :
