June + July Favourites :)

Hey Guys!!

How's it hanging??

I've only just realised that I haven't put my last 2 monthly favourites on...awks. But luckily when there's something that I like or am obsessed with I'll put them in my OneNote on my laptop so when I'm doing them I can delete them instead of writing them on paper. Any who let's begin!!

JUNE FAVOURITES

Grey Boots - I bought these from New Look quite a while back but have honestly been wearing them to death. They have quite a chunky heel but have no laces or straps so they slip on easy and are suuuper comfortable. I'd normally pair them with a casual tee and blue jeans or even a crop top and pencil skirt for a night out. I would show you a picture but I never took one when I bought them and right now they are filthy :/ But I can show you what they sort of look like haha :') 

So they are the same design as these but a light grey colour and are suede rather than leather like these.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo Eye-shadow in Creamy Beige - This has been my holy grail eye product ever since I bought it. Like it says on the packaging, it's a beige colour so what I do when I apply is all over my lids if I'm in a rush for work or if I'm doing a smoky eye look for a night out, I'll apply this as a kind of primer because it's a creamy consistency and sometimes my eyelids get slightly oily so this helps prolong my eye-shadow. Also because the colour is so pigmented you don't need much and I've had this for about 3 months and it looks like I haven't used much at all!

Jurassic World - This film is epic. I was a huge fan of the older Jurassic films and honestly thought it was going to be shit. But I thought I'd give it a chance. 

Basically the premises of the film is a new theme park has just been opened that inhabits dinosaurs so people can get up close and personal with them and the newest dinosaur is far too dangerous for them to have at the park and gets loose...

Scrunchies - Basically as soon as I get home from work and I know I haven't got to make any more human contact I'll put my hair in a big scrunchie <3 The ones I get are from American Apparel but you can really get them from anywhere. Atm I have a black, pink, red, white and stripy one and this particular brand are my favourite as they don't snag your hair and don't leave it in kinks :)

Casey Neistat - Now if you don't know by now I loooove YouTube and am always on the look out for new YouTubers to start stalking ;) haha and I stumbled across Casey Neistat via Ben Brown and was completely infatuated by his love for film making and how he puts his own twist on everyday life and about 4 months ago he started doing daily vlogs which are soo well put together and although he does normal everyday stuff like go to work, work out etc time seems to fly when I watch his videos <3 <3

JULY FAVOURITES

The Equalizer - If your one for action films you have to watch this! Denzel Washington plays Robert McCall, a man of mystery, who has quite a dodgy past and tries to escape it but when he meets a young Russian girl at a cafe he always goes to and notices she's in trouble he decides to help her which brings up his past.

Harry Potter World - So if you haven't seen my blog post on it, I went to the Warner Bros. Studios in London for Harry Potter which was fucking epic! Seriously like if you are a Potter head what are you doing with your life if you haven't been?!?! There's costumes, settings from the actual film and you get to fly a broom! So yeah go and read my post on it for more! :D

My Holiday - After a jam packed year I definitely needed this holiday and boy oh boy was it amazing! We went on a cruise with Cunard to places like Turkey, Greece etc and I've done the 1st half of my holiday as a blog post and the 2nd half will be up on the 14th August because we did quite a lot and I thought it'd be slightly overwhelming if I did it as a whole post so go and have a read of that as well! :D

My Holiday...pt 1

Hey Guys!!

How's it hanging??

So for the majority of of July me and my family went on our holiday to the Mediterranean on our 9th cruise for 2 weeks. The weather had been predicted to be beautiful and we were all very excited to sit back and relax as we soaked up the beautiful weather. So here's what we got up to in my 1st half of the holiday:

Saturday 18th July 2015

So we had to wake up at stupid time but because I knew I'd be suuuuper cranky having 2 hours sleep, I decided to not sleep and watch films until the rest of my family woke up. It was then half 1. We drove to my nans where we were going to be picked up to drive us to Manchester Airport. We left my nans at 3.

Now I know some people  turn up at the airport about an hour before a flight but oh no not the Jansens. Our flight was at half 7 so we had about 3 hours to do absolutely nothing to do. The flight went well, although I absolutely hate flying, and we arrived in beautiful Venice. We then caught a coach which would take us to the port where out cruise ship would be waiting but because of stupid traffic and being as it was a Saturday, the drive that was supposed to take about an hour ended up taking 3 hours :/ Now if you've never been on a Cunard cruise before, what they have is themed nights with the choices either being informal or formal with formal being proper fancy and dressed up and informal slightly less dressed up. For example, on the formal nights I would wear a dress and heels whereas on the informal nights I would sometimes wear trousers or a play-suit and our first night was informal so I wore a khaki blouse, black cigarette trousers and some nude heels (and what I'll soon discover is that the shoes I bought for this holiday were very uncomfortable so I had to restrict myself to what I could wear as it might not go with the only pair of shoes I had left - I would have bought more but we had a weight limit :( ) For my dinner I had some fancy spring rolls then a salad then the cod and vegetables and for desert I had the apple strudel :P

Sunday 19th July 2015 (Zadar, Croatia)

Today was probably the only day that I got to wake up sort of late.8. We had our breakfast which was a buffet so you could have cereals, cooked breakfast and even cake!! haha. Then because the weather was completely gorgeous I decided to tan for about half an hour because I'm not the kind of person who can sit in hot weather like I have to be doing something so I'm surprised I lasted that long haha! We arrived in Zadar, Croatia but didn't get off the boat because we were feeling very sleepy and the view from our balconies was just breathtaking :)

Now because of the weight limit I couldn't really bring anything to read with me but luckily there was a library on board so I decided to read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Tonight was the 1st formal night so I decided to wear a black maxi dress and some black strappy high heels which were my holy grail because they were sooo comfy. I had asparagus with egg and hollandaise sauce then practically the best turkey dinner I've ever had! Then ice creams for pudding :)

Monday 20th July 2015 (Dubrovnik, Croatia)

Now today was the 1st day we stepped off the boat since we got on and to get on and off the boat you have to have a card that needs to be scanned and your photo shows up of your face and basically has some details on it. Anyway, it was very very very hot today - 34 degrees c (93.2f) We sat at a beautiful cafe and had a drink whilst we wrote our postcards. 

Game of Thrones - Cerseis walk of shame was filmed down those steps!!

We then went back onto the boat and nearly everyday they had a relatively new film on and today it was Taken 3 which if anyone knows me, I sort of have a soft spot for Liam Neeson :) and it was such a good film haha.

Then it was an informal night so I wore an old Henry Holland dress I've had for about 2-3 years with the black strappy heels and I had broccoli soup, salad, fish and vegetables and the crepes Suzette which were incredible!

Tuesday 21st July 2015 (Sea Day)

So today was a sea day which means that we couldn't get off the boat because we were going to be travelling all day to our next destination so instead of tanning or sitting down and doing nothing, I discovered that there was a deck on the boat, 3 if you're interested, where it was accessible for people to run/walk around and if you went round 3 times it was equal to 1 mile so I fast walked 2 miles which took about half an hour. I didn't fancy watching the film that was on today so I carried on reading Harry Potter and used some of the internet. The thing with the internet out in the middle of the sea is that it's obviously not as fast as when you're sitting at home and because we'd been on this boat before, we sort of got an upgrade and we were gold members...hahaha!! which means we got more free internet basically and some other privileges like invites to drinks with the captain etc so we got 2 free hours each. Then the night came and it was formal so I wore an lbd with black strappy heels. I had chicken satay sticks for starter, pork, mash and veg for my main and the ice creams again but they were different flavours.

Wednesday 22nd July 2015 (Mykonos, Greece)

Today the idea was to get off the boat and instead of having some tour guide go round and show us the tourist attractions, we thought we'd go on our own and have a wonder about. But we couldn't :( Apparently the weather was too windy for the boat to be able to dock properly and safely so we had essentially another sea day. So me, my brother and sister played scrabble, I read more of Harry Potter and then we watched The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel which was super cute and a proper happy film.

It was then informal night and I wore a dark blue blouse with some patterned trousers and my sisters white chunky heels and I had chicken consome, salad, chicken with goats cheese and veg and the crème brulee for pudding. By the way, this is where the selfies started appearing haha.

Thursday 23rd July 2015 (Rhodes, Greece)

Today we decided that we wanted to do our own thing again so we walked around and again it was very hot and such a stunning place <3 we then had a drink in a beautiful cafe over looking the square. 

We then went back onto the boat and I finished Harry Potter. Tonight was informal night and I wore a black caged crop top with a pencil skirt and my black strappy heels. I had beef consome, salad and Beef Wellington - which was sooooo good :D

Friday 24th July 2015 (Izmir, Turkey)

The weather was very hot again but very sticky - the kind of weather that basically pisses you off! haha but that was completely distracted by the amount of dogs and cats that were walking about :3 I literally fell in love.

Then when I was getting ready to go for our meal I was walking around with my black strappy heels on and just as I was about to take them off, they broke :'( Like the heel came out of the shoe but there's no point in repairing them because they'll only get broken again plus they were only £20! So obviously I was pissed off so there wasn't any selfies and it was informal night so I wore my green blouse again with my black trousers and my sisters white heels. I ate chicken, mango and avocado salad, a bean ragout with a potato cake and ice cream.

And that's it...for now.

Obviously this post would be soooo long if I included all posts of my holiday so I'm going to split it up into 2 separate posts. I hope you enjoy looking and reading this post and stay posted...hahahaha!!!! :'D
